Sarah Böttger (born 1980) worked as cabinet maker, before she studied Industrial Design at the University of Art and Design in Offenbach am Main and Helsinki. She founded her studio 2011 in Wiesbaden, Germany, from where she collaborates with international clients such as the danish brand MENU. In addition to her studio work she was conceptually involved in international projects. Her work has been exhibited in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Belgium, Berlin, Milan, Paris and Shanghai and was published in various magazines. 2012 she was nominated for the German Design Award in the category Newcomer.

Sarah Böttger designs furniture, lamps, glass and related products. Influenced by her traditional way of craftwork, she gives special attention to the used materials and their processing. While in the design process nothing is left to chance she focuses on achieving a balance between function, aesthetics and simplicity. Her objects are mostly clear and recognizable combined with a little detail that attracts the attention.
